Sortimo is the European market leader for vehicle equipment and intelligent mobility solutions. The company wanted to work more data-driven to manage sales more efficiently and better predict customer wishes. The initial situation: distributed data silos, manual reports, lack of AI foundations.
Challenge
Sortimo faced the challenge of systematically consolidating central data from SAP, Contentserv SIM, and the vehicle configurator. Existing reports were manually created, data was siloed, and the foundation for machine learning was lacking.
The Solution
Together with DIVINT, a scalable data platform was built on Microsoft Fabric – including automated data flows, AI-capable architecture, and Power BI dashboards. The following components were integrated:
Data Connection: SAP HANA, Contentserv SIM, SAP C4C, Configurator
Ingestion: Dataflows Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Notebooks
Storage: Delta Lake, ~40 million rows
Security: RLS, ABAC, automated IaC rollout
Cost Optimization: Auto-Pause (>70 % savings)
